Job Description

Under general direction from the Behavioral Health Provider(s), the Behavioral Health Technician is a member of the multidisciplinary team who carries out support functions; assists in treatment, education, support and consultations with individuals, children, and families. May be assigned to serve on special committees and conduct various meetings as necessary.  Required to be familiar with, abide by, and enforce all State of Arizona, Behavioral Health Agency, Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Office of Behavioral Health Licensing (OBHL), and Sunset Community Health Center regulations.

Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other behavioral science with an emphasis in counseling; or an Associate’s degree in chemical dependency or substance abuse with an emphasis in counseling; or equivalent experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Be able to pass the ALTA Interpretation Assessment with a minimum score of 8 in Spanish language. Must have a Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one with 5 days of employments. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
