Job Description
The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance team, to ensure that the organization is receiving relevant, timely, and accurate financial data and information. The Controller maintains robust internal controls suitable to Sunset Health as established by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Controller supports the CFO to accomplish Sunset Health's fiscal goals and objectives.
Qualifications: Associates degree in accounting, finance, business administrations or related field required. Bachelor's degree desirable. Five years of healthcare financial experience required. Ideal candidate would have worked for or had familiarity with a Federally Qualified Health Center and/or an outpatient healthcare operation. Five years' experience in a public or no-profit agency preparing financial statements is required. Experience and knowledge of medical office procedures, understanding of ambulatory outpatient care setting, budgeting, and financial operations. Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred. Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card; if not already obtained; Fingerprint Clearance card application must be submitted within 5 business days of employment. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a health and drug screen.
